Bio

Hello parents,
I am a doula of Hungarian origin, living in the small village of Nederokkerzeel, near Leuven.
I became a mother at the age of 40, and giving birth and breastfeeding were the most transformative experiences of my life. They shifted my path from the corporate rat race to birth work. Before the birth of my first daughter, I was completely unprepared, and despite being a healthy, low-risk pregnant mother, Alma’s birth was entirely medicalized. Thankfully, I knew a lot more about breastfeeding, and that experience helped me overcome my negative feelings about the birth.
When my second daughter came along, I educated myself and made truly informed birth choices that aligned with our real values and preferences. The birth of my second daughter at age 43 was the most empowering experience of my life!
I firmly believe that every parent deserves such a celebration of birth, as it is a rare and extraordinary moment in life. However, overwhelming hospital protocols, unfamiliar and often-changing caregivers, and unknown environments do not promote trust and well-being for parents. As a doula, I guide you on your birthing journey by providing continuous emotional and physical support, fully and exclusively focused on your and your partner’s needs. You can count on me as a mix of personal coach, massage therapist, and soul sister, helping you find your birthing bubble so you feel comfortable, confident, and able to enjoy your birth!
In addition to being a doula, I am also a certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator, a certified breastfeeding counselor, and a Body Ready Method Pro. This allows me to offer you a uniquely holistic approach to your pregnancy and birth. I draw on techniques from BRM and Spinning Babies to support my doula clients in achieving the birth they envision. These methods help create balance and alignment in your body for greater comfort during pregnancy and ease during labor.
As part of your birth preparation, I provide evidence-based, unbiased information to help you make truly informed decisions about your birth, tailored to your values and preferences.
I speak Flemish, French, English, some German, and, of course, Hungarian 😊, and I am active in the Vlaams-Brabant, Antwerp, and Brussels regions.
Enjoy your pregnancy!
Warm regards,
Kata
